Preppster is an idea that came to the world’s only professional beach walker, Tomas Strand, during one of his long barefoot walks in Scandinavia where he left his footprints on all the lengthy sandy beaches in Sweden, Norway, and Finland.

The steps also brought creative thoughts about approaching crises.

Serious crises are more frequent in our time and within a foreseeable time, we will all experience the decline of the functions of civil society – functions that may be permanently damaged.

Prepper meets Hipster → Preppster

In 2021, the somewhat dizzying novel Preppster was released, a book about how Tomas Strand, alongside Brad Pitt among others, created their own village on the island of Gotland in order to survive a severe crisis in the best possible way. There, right from the start, even the joyful things in life are prepared to survive in the long term.

In 2022, Tomas Strand and Stefan Leijon started building the brand Preppster, which creates both its own products and also makes old-fashioned product collaborations with established brands.
